What is a Category 1 Water Damage

This church suffered water damage due to a frozen pipe. We were able to remove quickly the water and begin quickly with the drying process. Then, repaired the damage beneath the carpet and replaced it.  

Category 1 water damage, like you see here, is the most common type of water damage we deal with. Due to their nature, these often occur in basements, kitchens, or bathrooms. Category 1 water damage comes from sanitary sources—broken pipes, melting snow, and excess rainwater are three commons forms we come across. Luckily, this type of water damage generally doesn't pose a risk to your health as the water sources are considered "clean."
