Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

How do I clean a gas range?

This home suffered soot and smoke damage due to a kitchen fire. We were able to clean this home removing the soot and all the smoke odor.

Keeping your gas range clean protects you from fire hazards due to a build-up of oils or crumbs on the burners. With a few simple steps, your stovetop will look new once again. If you have a standing pilot light, make sure the gas valve is turned off before you begin. Place the grates in your sink and fill it with hot and soapy water to allow the grime to loosen up. While those are soaking, wipe down the stovetop with a vinegar and water mixture. Remove and clean the burner caps and the burner heads. After scrubbing all parts, replace all items where they belong and enjoy your sparkling clean range.
